My 2016 Speaking Schedule

Here is my speaking calendar for 2016. Some of these sessions are private, others have open registration pages (see the links), and others have waiting lists. Feel free to send an e-mail to with inquiries about any of them. It’d be a treat to see you at a workshop or a conference.

BTW. After my keynote address at Nebraska’s state conference on September 9, 2016, I’ll have worked with teachers in every U.S. state. It’s been such a privilege getting to know so many interesting people doing so much interesting work. If you have attended any of my sessions, you’ve heard me express how indebted I am to participants from other sessions for the questions they ask about my ideas and the ideas they share themselves.

I'm Dan and this is my blog. I'm a former high school math teacher and current head of teaching at Desmos. He / him. More here.

  1. Lucky USA…when are you coming to New Zealand?….and not big city NZ but little, out of the way, NZ? Actually if you did come I would travel to see/hear you, it’s a beautiful place. Have a great year and keep the blog going please.

  2. @Svargo, thanks for the interest. For the most part, I have suspended international travel. Not for lack of interest, obviously. Should I make it to NZ/AU I’ll be sure to send you an email.

  3. Hi I’m a math teaching credential student and have been a fan of your work for a long time! I signed up to volunteer for the CMC North Asilomar 2015 so I could come see you present live. Is it a mistake that your name was removed from the roster?!

  4. Hi Grace, I’m very sorry to disappoint. Some family matters have forced me to cancel my session at Asilomar. It’s the very best conference, though. If you’re looking for other recommendations, I’m happy to be oblige.

  5. Thanks for your response, and hope all is well with your family. I have been reading through the speech descriptions and would love your recommendations for who to go see!

We hope to entice you back to WV soon! I’m already planning a PD with our administrators with everything I learned at the conference.
