Couldn’t make it to NCTM this year? We’re in the middle of recapping the conference over at MathRecap.com, one session per day, including:
- Forrest Clark on standards-based grading.
- Christopher Danielson on what students will and won’t need for calculus in high school.
- Ryan Higgins on Socratic seminars in mathematics.
- Gary Rubinstein on the crossover between math and astronomy.
- Marc Garneau on visualization in math, and
- Mayim Bialik’s opening keynote session.
Including handouts, slides, and other resources. More coming this week.
Lots of thanks to our recappers: Benjamin Graber, Raymond Johnson, Brandon Price, and Tanis Thiessen.

May 6, 2013 - 3:03 am -I am deeply indebted to your philantropic sharing of knowledge. Your blog is the best launching pad for me to be creative and enthusiastic in my maths teaching. Though I am from Malaysia, whereby the syallabus differs, however the sheer magnitude of the positive vibes exuded from dy/dan really propels me to want to renew my teaching each month. Thank you.

So sorry it took me so long to get my sessions recapped. An email with most of the recaps I wanted to do is in your inbox. Another soon to follow!
Thanks for all that you do!
