the dy/dan summer jam

Over the next ten weeks this blog will find me a) getting married, b) wrapping up post-production on my longest video to date, c) looking for a place to live, d) looking for a place to work, e) putting in some summer hours with Big Tree Learning, f) getting married, and, as you read this prerecorded post, g) hanging out with some (presumably cool) educators and my pops in Washington, DC, at Cable’s Leaders in Learning Awards. In light of that to-do list, my blogging output here may be a bit light for the summer months.

However, there is one commitment I’d like to make around here: a ten-episode vodcasting season, one episode a week, every Wednesday: dy/av.

I don’t know how you’ll react to any of these but your reaction is almost beside their point. I need video around here like you can’t believe. It has been too long.

  1. Where did I miss the new job? Sorry, I’ve been on my summer travels so I can’t read each posting fully…. Either that, or you’ve just given up on looking for a place to work (since it’s struck through in your posting).

  2. Congrats on new job! (I’m assuming this is the first real announcement of it. Nothing showed up buried in comments this time.) Checked your twitter and missed anything formal there. (But I don’t normally read it so would not be shocked to miss something.)

Though, I am in DC right now, so if you hear some blonde yell your name, come over and say hi?

  3. Clearly the videos are the most important thing here, and I’ll be watching intently hoping to pick up tips (next year I’ll have a projector for every lesson! Yay!).

That other thing? Nah, there’s nothing surprising in there, I already knew Dan’s life was awesome. Long may it continue.

  4. Sorry for playing coy with the new job thing. I’ll give it a paragraph on the main page but it’s turned into such a fantastic anticlimax I’d almost rather skip it.
