February 6, 2008 - 9:42 pm -I don’t know why that’s so awesome, but it just is. It strikes me that my own son, who’s just 4.5, would like it, too. 100 is a very big number when you’re little.

February 7, 2008 - 7:50 am -I’m not exactly sure what’s going on here. There is something inherently metaphorical about beating a drum, I think. Nor am I sure what happens in the viewer when his or her age flashes suddenly on the screen and then disappears.
I only know that all of us decided we’d rather not live past 40. Unless we could be that awesome 99-yo guy.
