    This is why I can’t stand those posters sold at teacher supply stores. They are even worse, actually, because you have to pay for them. I have some friends that have them hanging in their rooms and it kills me every time I walk in.

    Since my first year of teaching, I’ve wanted to hang Despair.com posters in my room.

    I’ve realized, though, that they’re completely inconsistent with my beginning of the year classroom management.

    My kids love the despair.com posters. Some of them actually make for great talking points (“Potential: Because not everybody gets to be an astronaut when they grow up”) and a lot of them kind of relate to relevant human behaviors (“Incompetence: When you earnestly believe you can compensate for lack of skill by doubling your efforts, there’s no end to what you can’t do.”).
